Users are seeking effective drawing programs for creating simple 2D drawings in ***.dwg format. AutoSketch 9 fails to retain line widths when exporting to ***.dwg, while TurboCAD 17 is considered overly complex for basic tasks. AutoCAD Light is viewed as prohibitively expensive. One user recommends Visio, which can export to ***.dwg, but lacks a means to verify the output. Additionally, SolidEdge 2D is mentioned as a free option that supports both import and export of ***.dwg files.

Vendor wants drawing in ***.dwg.

I have AutoSketch 9 which doesn't save line widths when saving to ***.dwg.
Purchased TurboCAD 17 which is too complicated for what is being done.
AutoCAD Light is too expensive.

I use Visio for simple 2-D drawings. It has the option to Save As *.DWG file. I just tried it and it exported the file, but I don't have anything to open a *.DWG file with, so I don't know how well the export went...

Solidedge 2d is free and should import and export dwg

I am trying to understand how transferring electric from the powerplant to my house is more effective using high voltage. The suggested explanation that the current is equal to the power supply divided by the voltage, and hence higher voltage leads to lower current and as a result to a lower power loss on the conductives is very confusing me. I know that the current is determined by the voltage and the resistance, and not by a power capability - which defines a limit to the allowable...
