What is Semi-Professional Astronomy and Physics?

Hi,
I have always had an interest in astronomy and physics,but that interest has always been at the pop science level. However recently I have decided to spend bit more time into getting to know the subject beyond the layman level but maybe not to the Phd level, we will see. Hope to get inspired and learn more here.

Hello everyone, I'm Cosmo. I'm an 18 years old student majoring in physics.
