Microwave Office is one of the standard (and excellent) professional tools.
 
Thank you marcusl. I have contacted their sales representative. Its kinda pricey. Will see what my boss have to say abot it.

Sonnet is quite good; and if you are at a university you get a very good discount.
There is also a free -but limited- version that is nevertheless useful for simple circuits.

you can start with the free version of cadsoft eagle. its free. but limited. perhaps your university has also a deal with eagle.
