What is the best way to stay updated on scientific advancements?

Hi all,
I am just an aging hippie who has always been interested in science.
I have tried to keep up over the years reading Scientific American and other science mags.
I have a fondness for all things 'Relativity' and hope to broaden my understanding through reading what is posted here.
