What is the Role of a Retired Physicist in Continuing Scientific Discussions?

Hi,
I'm a retired physicist. Most of my work was in research but I did also do some lecturing and for many years I also had a part-time appointment with the Open University on their physics and astronomy courses. Looking forward to discussions.
