What motivates members of this site to share their knowledge and intelligence?

I mean I am really impressed by the members of this site. I am new here and discovered it accidentally through google. Whenever I ask homework questions, I am impressed by the knowledge and intelligence of the posters. This site really helps me a lot because rather than just solving the problems, I end up learning something. How did you people become so selfless and smart?Edit: Oops sorry. But- If the giants are big enough they'll still see farther since your head will still be below their eye line. Maybe you're clinging from the hairline of giants?

As for not seeing as far, well we'll just let that one be.

I don't feel very smart. I just love mathematics, and I've done it for some years now. In my opinion, everybody can do mathematics and physics, they just need to get the passion for it.
