Topics up for discussion at PF are wide ranging, but not all-embracing. Please read the recent posts in each sub-forum of interest to make sure your subject will be on-topic there. Only on-topic posts are allowed in each sub-forum.

Thread 'Introduction'

Hello everyone, I'm Cosmo. I'm an 18 years old student majoring in physics. I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...

Thread 'Old engineer, new physics student'

Hi there! This is Vmax, an old (relatively, but the profession can definitively accelerate aging) aerospace engineer now returning to physics in my 50s. I can definitively use some help in refreshing long forgotten topics and guidance in tackling new challenging subjects in modern physics.
