Disclaimer: I might possibly steal some names for my pet fish because I recycle their names every month

Don't do this, it will confuse them.

Oh, Sheldon isn't really our own cat...he's a street cat who is awfully fond of our property. But he comes when you call him, and it's ever so entertaining. We can't have pets because of cat allergies, which is disappointing considering how friendly Sheldon is. :frown: On the flip side, the fish tank is on a shelf that I like to lean on, so maybe I'm the one who doesn't get along with the fish...though I think shaking the water makes the fishes' environment more realistic

I think they are all "street cats" some of them just like to claim favorite houses to live at.

Yes they need the oxygenation, (probably not as efficient as an aerator and filter but more entertaining). My 15 year old Granddaughter has a couple of western box turtles in her aquarium, she put some fish in with them and they turned into turtle food very quickly. so now its just turtles, no fish.

... I've got eight fish and I just change their names frequently. Is that odd?
Well, it IS very quarky. Oh wait. It's spelled "quirky".

Hm, yes, it is quite unorthodox  I see that quarkiness is becoming rather prevalent around these parts, though. You see, quarkiness is a whole new level of quirkiness. Merriam-Webster should add it to their list of new words...

At any rate, no matter how odd one gets, no one can surpass and I shall never understand those creepy avant-garde drama students creatures that find themselves around my campus ?:)
