When light is polarized with itself

What does light do to different materials at each frequency range when light is polarized with itself, meaning the electric and magnetic fields form a double helix but one is based on sine and the other one cosine 90 “degrees” out of phase? I hope I’m making this clear enough.

No, I mean when both the electric field and magnetic field both have a circular field configuration… should I make a drawing? I don’t know if I can describe it. I’m sorry for sounding a bit vague. In circular polarization the Magnetic field is a straight line

Yes, please do make a drawing since I don't understand your description. But do bear in mind that both the electric and magnetic field vectors at any single point in space are always straight lines (↗) and never curved or circular like this ↻.

I think a diagram would help, yes. I also thought you were talking about circular polarisation from your initial description.

The magnetic field is always perpendicular to the electric field in a EM wave. So if one is circularly polarized, then so is the other.

Since this is an electromagnetic wave, each electric field vector has a corresponding, but not illustrated, magnetic field vector that is at a right angle to the electric field vector and proportional in magnitude to it. As a result, the magnetic field vectors would trace out a second helix if displayed.
