Where Can I Find Informative Nanotechnology Websites?

Click For Summary

Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around finding informative websites related to nanotechnology, particularly for beginners. Participants share resources and inquire about specific aspects of nanotechnology, including its applications and theoretical underpinnings.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Homework-related

Main Points Raised

  • One participant expresses a need for simple yet informative introductory resources on nanotechnology.
  • Another participant shares a link to a website they consider decent for general information on nanotechnology.
  • A different participant asks about the workings of assemblers and replicators, including their composition and operational processes, and whether any have been constructed.
  • A participant provides a link to their research advisor's webpage, indicating ongoing development of nanomachines, and shares a reference to Richard Feynman's original paper on nanotechnology.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

The discussion does not appear to reach a consensus on specific resources, as participants share different links and inquiries without resolving the questions posed.

Contextual Notes

Some participants may have varying levels of familiarity with nanotechnology, which could affect the clarity and depth of the resources shared. The inquiry about assemblers and replicators introduces technical complexity that remains unexplored.

Who May Find This Useful

Individuals interested in introductory nanotechnology resources, students seeking homework assistance, and those curious about the practical applications of nanotechnology.

I don't really know anything about nanotechnology and I'm still doing my GCSE in physics so I was looking for a good website as a simple yet informative introduction to nanotechnology because it sounds really interesting. Can anyone recommend any good websites on the subject because I couldn't find any?

Computer science news on Phys.org
this is an all round decent site
here is the nano link

Thanks, that's just what I was looking for.

Does anyone know how assemblers and replicators actualy work. What are they made of and how do they carry out their intended processes?

Also, have any been built yet?
