SUMMARY

The discussion centers on simulating a seal circuit involving a contactor, a normally open (NO) switch, and a normally closed (NC) switch to start a motor. The user, Fernando Azevedo, reports that the NO switch does not maintain closure when activated. Participants inquire about the simulation tool being used and provide a reference to a Siemens lesson template that may assist in visualizing the circuit setup.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of seal circuits and their components, including contactors and switches.
  • Familiarity with simulation software, specifically Electronics Workbench (EWB).
  • Knowledge of electrical circuit design principles.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for circuit simulations.
NEXT STEPS
  • Research how to properly configure a seal circuit in Electronics Workbench (EWB).
  • Learn about the operation and characteristics of normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) switches.
  • Explore troubleshooting techniques for circuit simulations in EWB.
  • Review Siemens resources on electrical circuit design and simulation.
USEFUL FOR

Electrical engineers, students studying circuit design, and anyone involved in simulating electrical systems using Electronics Workbench.

hello everybody...i need help about how simulate a seal's circuit (contactor + 1 switch NO + 1 switch NC). My circuit is to start a motor...i traied simulate but when i push NO..it didnt keep close.

thanks so much...if you can add at MSN to exchange information about EWB i'll thanks a lot.

Does your circuit look something like http://www.sea.siemens.com/step/templates/lesson.mason?components:3:2:8" ?
