Any digital analysis will be applied to a fixed number of samples and it will assume that this sequence is repeated. That's the basis of FFTs. Having accepted this, then there must be lots of free FFT applications for any platform you want which just require a string of samples - usually in batches of 2^n - 1 samples. That will give you an indication of the Spectral Content of the original signal.
