Not sure if this is the right section TBH

What is better - to be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?

I personally think it would be the latter because one who is born good cannot not truly understand the essence of evil nature, its depths and the darkness that surrounds it. Anyone who overcomes and supresses their evil nature has great deal of strength and understanding. But I guess the former has it easier because he/she doesn't have to worry about things like this.

What's your take on this?

What is better - to be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great?

This question has been debated by philosophers and scientists for centuries. Some argue that it is better to be born good because it means you have a natural inclination towards being a good person. Others argue that overcoming your evil nature through great effort and determination is more admirable and shows true strength of character. Ultimately, there is no right answer as it depends on individual beliefs and values.

Can someone truly overcome their evil nature?

The concept of an "evil nature" is subjective and can mean different things to different people. However, studies have shown that with the right support, therapy, and personal growth, people can change their behavior and thought patterns. It may not be easy, but it is possible to overcome negative traits and tendencies and become a better person.

Is it possible for someone to be born inherently good?

This is a difficult question to answer definitively as it involves the complex nature of human behavior. Some believe that people are born with a moral compass and innate goodness, while others argue that external factors such as environment and upbringing play a larger role in shaping a person's character. Ultimately, it is likely a combination of both nature and nurture that contribute to a person's goodness.

What is the role of genetics in determining a person's goodness?

While genetics may play a role in certain traits and tendencies, such as empathy and aggression, they do not determine a person's goodness. It is important to remember that individuals have the ability to make choices and change their behavior, regardless of their genetic makeup. Additionally, environmental factors and personal experiences also play a significant role in shaping a person's character.

Can someone who was born "evil" change their ways?

The concept of being "born evil" is a controversial one and is often linked to mental illness or sociopathic tendencies. While it may be more challenging for someone with these traits to change their behavior, it is not impossible. With the right support and therapy, individuals can learn to manage their tendencies and make positive changes in their lives. It is important to remember that everyone has the capacity for growth and change, regardless of their past actions.
