what exactly are tachyons, and how were they ever predicted? and do they even exist?
and they also have imaginary massdaveed said:wow, weird properties.
"as its energy decreases, its velocity increases."

There was a young lady named Bright,
Whose speed was far faster than light.
She went out one day,
In a relative way,
And returned the previous night!

Tachyons are hypothetical particles that are thought to travel faster than the speed of light. They have not been observed or proven to exist, but are predicted by some theories in physics.
Tachyons differ from other particles in that they have imaginary mass and always travel faster than the speed of light. They also have the unique property of gaining energy as they lose speed, making them difficult to detect.
Some theories that involve tachyons include the theory of relativity, string theory, and quantum field theory. These theories propose the existence of tachyons to explain certain phenomena, such as faster-than-light travel and quantum tunneling.
There is currently no scientific evidence to suggest that tachyons can be used for time travel. The concept of time travel is still a topic of debate among scientists, and the existence of tachyons is still theoretical.
The existence of tachyons, if proven, could greatly impact our understanding of the universe and the laws of physics. It could challenge the principles of causality and the speed limit of light, leading to a major shift in our understanding of space and time.
