Assistance in Debunking Astrology

I have been engaged in a debate between a co-worker regarding the empirical evidence that astrology has a profound and unique affect on our consciousness (or our personalities and development). We had been exchange brief arguments back and forth until she finally presented me with this website. I am able to comprehend the conceptual content (I am a physics and maths major), however, I do not yet have the mathematical understanding and technique to grasp some of the mathematics referenced in the website. I would like to be able to refute the content of this website, or understand the truths it might generate.
