In summary, building solar systems for RV and farm use can be approached from a redneck engineer's perspective. This involves utilizing practical and cost-effective methods, such as repurposing materials and incorporating DIY techniques. Some key considerations include determining energy needs, sourcing affordable components, and implementing efficient and reliable designs. By using a redneck engineer's mindset, one can successfully create a sustainable and budget-friendly solar system for their RV or farm.

Howdy, Very new here, am a retired crane mechanic and am currently trying to design two solar systems, one for an rv which has been fairly straight forward and the other to power my shop and tractor shed. My education was brief as a result of the draft/Vietnam war, so most of my experience has been hands on. That translates to a redneck engineer. This seems like a great place to learn some new things and I thank you for having me
