In summary, if you are struggling with the James Stewart Calculus Early Transcendentals 6th edition and are looking for a clearer and more consistent alternative, there are a few things you can consider. Look for textbooks with a more visual approach, a step-by-step approach, or more practice problems and examples. You can also seek recommendations from others or visit a library or bookstore to browse through different textbooks. Finding a book that suits your learning style is key to understanding calculus effectively.

I understand your frustration with your current calculus book. I have used various calculus textbooks throughout my education and career, and I can offer some advice on finding a book that may work better for you.

Firstly, it is important to remember that different people learn in different ways. What works for one person may not work for another. So, while your classmates may find the James Stewart book helpful, it may not be the best fit for you.

One recommendation I have is to look for textbooks that have a more visual approach. Some books include more diagrams, graphs, and illustrations to help explain concepts, which can be helpful for visual learners. Additionally, some books have accompanying online resources, such as videos or interactive simulations, that can aid in understanding the material.

Another suggestion is to look for textbooks that have a more step-by-step approach. This can be especially helpful for those who are new to calculus. Some books may also include more practice problems and examples, which can be beneficial for reinforcing concepts.

I would also recommend looking for reviews or recommendations from other students or educators. You can also reach out to your professor or classmates to see if they have any suggestions for alternative textbooks.

Lastly, it may be helpful to visit your school's library or bookstore and browse through different calculus textbooks to see which ones resonate with you. Sometimes, physically flipping through a book can give you a better idea of its style and approach.

I hope these suggestions help in your search for a calculus textbook that works better for you. Remember, it's important to find a book that suits your learning style and helps you understand the material effectively. Best of luck in your studies!
