Ideas for a research project for my Aerospace dissertation?

AI Thread Summary
An Aerospace Engineering student in their third year is seeking project ideas for their dissertation after being unable to select a personal project due to university capacity issues. The student is looking to propose their own project, specifically interested in topics related to space and space flight, as the available options focus on management, which they wish to avoid. They are requesting suggestions for research questions or areas to explore, with a deadline to submit their proposal by the 14th. The discussion also prompts the student to consider current aerospace research and relevant journals or industry publications they may have been following.

TL;DR Summary: I'm an upcoming 3rd-year Aerospace Engineering student preparing to start my dissertation. Unfortunately, I was not allocated to a personal project due to capacity issues and my university has a lack of organisation. As a result, I'm proposing my own project because the rest of the projects they offer are all management which I don't want to do for a whole year. I wanted some ideas on what questions I could study or things I could look at for my research project.

I wanted some ideas on what questions I could study or things I could look at for my research project, preferably something to do with space and space flight. Any ideas are appreciated, I have until the 14th to propose a project!

Thank you.

Welcome to PF.

What kinds of current Aero research have you been reading about lately? What journals and industry publications do you read regularly?

After a year of thought, I decided to adjust my ratio for applying the US/EU(+UK) schools. I mostly focused on the US schools before, but things are getting complex and I found out that Europe is also a good place to study. I found some institutes that have professors with similar interests. But gaining the information is much harder than US schools (like you have to contact professors in advance etc). For your information, I have B.S. in engineering (low GPA: 3.2/4.0) in Asia - one SCI...
Hello, I’m an undergraduate student pursuing degrees in both computer science and physics. I was wondering if anyone here has graduated with these degrees and applied to a physics graduate program. I’m curious about how graduate programs evaluated your applications. In addition, if I’m interested in doing research in quantum fields related to materials or computational physics, what kinds of undergraduate research experiences would be most valuable?
