Is Plasmacluster technology safe for air purification?

In summary, the technology appears to be based on known or proven principles and has no strongly negative effects, but some minor reports of headaches, eye irritation, etc. have been found. Some positive effects were reported, but it is unclear if they are strong enough to justify buying the product.

TL;DR Summary
Is this technology sound?
I'm looking for an air purifier because of dusts from the neighbor's 4 month long renovation and I only became aware of air purifiers lately.

I came across the Sharp Plasmacluster:

https://global.sharp/pci/en/

But I read that ozones are not safe. https://molekule.science/air-purifiers-ionic-ionizers-bad-or-good/

So the Plasmacluster is clearly not ozone based or is it one in disguised?

I tried to google for any negative comments about the technology and came across this:

What is your thought about the Plasmaclusters? Would you put one in your own room. And why?

Any comments appreciated. Thank you!

On the other hand, evidence showed that NAIs could high-efficiently remove PM including ultrafine PM (Figure 3), providing an alternative way to clean indoor air especially during haze episodes.

The systems are sold for other purposes but are good at PM (particulate matter) removal. How this plays out for your application I cannot say.

Let's go to this sharp plasmaclusters air purifier sold at amazon for example:

This is short youtube summary how it could deactivate viruses in air (?)

My concern is whether these OH radicals can directly affect your lungs or organs if you inhale them? Is the technology based on known or proven principle?

The link I gave you listed all of the human subject effects testing done - page 10. In general there were no strongly negative effects, some few minor reports of headaches, eye irritation, etc., which you expect to see.
Positive effects were a mixed bag - there were a lot of 'no effect' kinds of results.

Some of the links are to less than top notch journals as well.

Let's call it answered. Next time please do not link manufacturer's materials - videos, papers, etc., in your posts. We will just lock the post right away.

1. Is Plasmacluster technology safe for air purification?

Yes, Plasmacluster technology is considered safe for air purification. It uses a combination of positive and negative ions to neutralize and eliminate harmful particles in the air, without producing any harmful byproducts.

2. How does Plasmacluster technology work for air purification?

Plasmacluster technology works by emitting positive and negative ions into the air. These ions attach to harmful particles such as allergens, bacteria, and viruses, neutralizing them and rendering them harmless. The ions then return to the air as water vapor.

3. Are there any potential health risks associated with Plasmacluster technology?

No, there are no known health risks associated with Plasmacluster technology. It does not emit any harmful substances or produce ozone, making it safe for use in air purification.

4. Can Plasmacluster technology remove all types of pollutants from the air?

Plasmacluster technology is effective in removing a wide range of pollutants from the air, including allergens, bacteria, viruses, mold, and odors. However, it may not be able to remove certain types of pollutants, such as smoke and chemical fumes, as effectively.

5. Is Plasmacluster technology safe for use around children and pets?

Yes, Plasmacluster technology is safe for use around children and pets. It does not emit any harmful substances and is considered safe for all members of the household. However, it is always recommended to follow the manufacturer's instructions for safe and proper use of the technology.
