In summary, Mathematics is a powerful tool that allows us to understand and explore the natural world beyond what our human minds can comprehend. From the precise movements of celestial bodies to the intricate patterns found in nature, mathematics provides a universal language for describing and predicting these phenomena. By using mathematical concepts and equations, scientists are able to make sense of the world around us and unlock its mysteries. Through the study of mathematics, we are able to gain a deeper understanding of the natural world and the underlying principles that govern it.

I’ve been quite confused after pondering the relationship between mathematics and the natural world (is there a basis outside the human mind of this great tool we call math? How “lossy” is the conversion of the natural world to the rational human mind?). As I’m also reading Feynman’s Six Easy Pieces, I stumbled on https://www.physicsforums.com/threads/feynman-explains-arithmetic.924124/ and thought to sign up! Looking forward to becoming more confused and more clear.
