AI Thread Summary
CoPtCrB is a magnetic storage media commonly used in hard drives, but specific data such as density is often difficult to find. A user is seeking detailed information for a university project, indicating a gap in accessible resources. A suggestion was made to check a link from IBM that may provide relevant information about the material. The discussion highlights the need for more comprehensive data on CoPtCrB in academic and technical contexts. Accessing specialized resources could enhance understanding of this magnetic material.

Hey!
Im doing a project at university about storages medias. I come across a matter called CoPtCrB used as the magnetic media in for instance harddrives. I have not been able to find any information like density and such though, and I need those data. Can someone in here direct me to some facts about this matter or do someone know something about this matter?

Thanks in advance,

René Petersen

I don't know anything about these materials, but a quick Google gave me this:

So I know that electrons are fundamental, there's no 'material' that makes them up, it's like talking about a colour itself rather than a car or a flower. Now protons and neutrons and quarks and whatever other stuff is there fundamentally, I want someone to kind of teach me these, I have a lot of questions that books might not give the answer in the way I understand. Thanks
