In summary, the cutest dog in the world is named Boots and he was only 2 days away from being put to sleep when he was rescued. He is very well-behaved and reminds people of their deceased pet Boris. The registration process was tedious and many people wanted to name him something associated with his ears. Despite being old, everyone still loves him.

He was a chiuahua/rat terrier. If this puppy was black, it would be boris. He was so tiny you could hold him in the palm of your hand. A huge tummy. When he barked, he'd slide backwards.

A neighbor's dog infected him with distemper and killed him he was only 9 weeks old.

Still waiting for the registration e-mail, I may have to redo it.

Vote accomplished.

I watched the slide show with my "puppies" (they're 13 months - 75 and 95 pounds now), they watched with great interest - but couldn't agree on their favorite. So...I picked Boots.

Thanks for the vote! I had to look up distemper. How sad! What symptoms was he showing that led you to take him in?

Yeah, a lot of people wanted him to be named something that had to do with his ears
