What jobs are available for mechanical engineering freshers?

In summary: You are a "fresher" who has just completed your undergraduate degree? According to the user's profile, the OP states that he/she completed his/her undergraduate degree. And given that the OP is from India (according to this thread), the logical answer is that the OP is fresh out of university (and is thus looking for where to apply to his/her first job).

Can you provide more context here? In what country are you looking?

I know in the US, some companies offer internships for students. I'm not sure that they would consider Freshmen as they are looking for potential talent to hire upon graduation hence they prefer juniors and sophomores.

Flipping burgers and bagging groceries are your best bet unless you have some marketable skills with a track record of accomplishment and excellence.

What makes you stand out from all the other freshers who aspire to major in Mech E without any skills or track record of hard work?

fresher (plural freshers):
(Britain) A freshman.
(India) A fresh graduate looking for his or her first job.

It seems "fresher" means different things to different people. OP needs to clarify.

Have you looked at Tata Industries? Or possibly applying to the nuclear industry (as there are 22 nuclear plants in all of India)? Those are some companies that immediately come to mind if you intend on staying in India.

We were expecting the original poster to answer the question of what he means by being a "fresher".

So @Vijayent what did you mean that you are a "fresher"? fresh out of college or a freshman (1st year student) in college?
