Which part of the earth has less ozone ?

In summary, ozone is a gas composed of three oxygen atoms that is essential for protecting life on Earth from harmful ultraviolet radiation. The ozone layer is thinnest in the polar regions, particularly over Antarctica, due to human-caused activities such as the use of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). Ozone depletion can have damaging effects on human health, plants, and marine life, as well as contribute to global climate change. To protect the ozone layer, the Montreal Protocol was created in 1987 to phase out the production and use of ozone-depleting substances, but it will take several decades for the ozone layer to fully recover.

The core.

That's probably not the answer you're looking for though.

The geographic region with the least atmospheric ozone is the south pole. The poles in general have less ozone, the equatorial regions have more.

but when i see a image from http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Observatory/Datasets/ozone.toms.html
i found that the equator always keep at a low rating amount of ozone but south pole has a few month that has the least.

What is ozone and why is it important?

Ozone is a gas composed of three oxygen atoms (O3). It is essential for protecting life on Earth from harmful ultraviolet radiation from the sun.

Which part of the earth has the least amount of ozone?

The ozone layer is thinnest in the polar regions, particularly over Antarctica, due to the extremely cold temperatures and unique atmospheric conditions.

What causes the depletion of ozone?

Ozone depletion is primarily caused by human activities, such as the use of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) in refrigerants and aerosol sprays, which release chlorine and other chemicals that destroy ozone molecules.

How does ozone depletion affect the environment?

Ozone depletion can lead to increased levels of harmful UV radiation reaching the Earth's surface, which can have damaging effects on human health, plants, and marine life. It can also contribute to global climate change.

What measures are being taken to protect the ozone layer?

The Montreal Protocol, an international treaty, was created in 1987 to phase out the production and use of ozone-depleting substances. As a result, the ozone layer is slowly recovering, but it will take several decades to fully heal.
