In summary, Don Novello, aka Father Guido Sarducci, was a character on NY Saturday Night Live who made fun of Vatican related stuff in a non-confrontational way. His game was part of his comedy routine. It's not a real game although someone, later on, might have made one to imitate.

A recent article on an 1860's painting of a girl with a prayerbook that looks suspiciously like an iPhone.

Who knew iPhones would be so popular? :-)

Very interesting your post. ¿A pope in a pizza? ¿Can you help me understanding these words? I am not native.
Greetings!

Ok, as I understand, there was (or there is) a game, which consist in finding popes in a pizza. In Spain there is a similar game: on the 6th of January, families buy some kind of circular cake, which contains a little figure. We cut in pieces the cake, and the one who finds by chance the figure in his/her piece, pays the cost of the cake.
Greetings!

The holy father

His "holliness" is questioned lately more and more. (Which, as you can easily imagine, splits general public and raises temperature of the public discourse - especially here, in Poland).
