Analysis of Hubbed Axial Flow Fan
Hey everybody, I am about to make some simplistic fan analysis for a hubbed axial flow fan (Single stage). What makes me confused is if I should use the classical "one stage" approach for compressor design or if there is another way to do this?! My aim is to carry out a simplistic analysis of...- aeronautical

Show continuously uniform function
Let F be a non-empty subset of a metric room (X,d) and define the function f: X→R through f(x)= inf_{y∈F} d(x,y)= inf {d(x,y):y ∈ F}. Please show that f is continuously uniform in the entire X. Please note that f(x)= inf_{y∈F} d(x,y) means that y∈F is written below the inf...it is hard to...- aeronautical

Convergence of f_{n} (x) = π*x*exp(-πx) on (0,∞)
Sequence converge uniformly? Homework Statement Define f_{n}: (0,∞) → R, through f_{n} (x) = π*x*exp(-πx), x > 0. Does the sequence converge uniformly in (0,∞) when n → ∞? f_{n} = f subscript n Can somebody please show me all the steps? Any ideas where i can start?- aeronautical

Very tricky line of people problem
Thanks...I have started to look at this problem from the beginning...and read some. Isn't the following a solution? My answer should be the product of of three numbers: N1 = the number of ways the people before the A3 B2 pairing can be arranged N2 = the number of ways the people after the A3...- aeronautical

Very tricky line of people problem
I can follow you on what you wrote. The ordering of Bs are determined by As. So you mean to say that the number of possibilities are 11-6=5 possibities and the constraint brings that down to 5 minus 2 = 3 possibilities?- aeronautical

Very tricky line of people problem
Thanks...well I am just confused why you say 'just one'. Cuz If i consider the second case it is 2. Cause I can put 5 balls into 11 slots...only two ways. And when i consider the union I know that the possibilities will be even less...how can i account for the number of possibilities is it only...- aeronautical
