Momentum Multiple choice question
A billiard ball has an initial speed of 5 m/s and it collides with another billiard ball of the same mass initially at rest. If the speeds of the two billiard balls are 3 and 4 m/s, then a) momentum was conserved but not kinetic energy b) kinetic energy was conserved but not momentum c)...- bballcool34

Centripetal acceleration problem
Thanks for the reply. One thing that is still confusing to me though is how, from the problem, I can know that tangential acceleration is constant, but centripetal acceleration is increasing?- bballcool34

Centripetal acceleration problem
A small bug is sitting on the edge of a uniform disk of mass 2.5 kg and radius 20 cm initially at rest. There is a massless string wrapped around the disk and the coefficient of friction between the bug and the disk is u= 0.4. The string is then pulled with a constant tension of 4 N. a) What...- bballcool34

How Far Should Rondo Compress the Spring to Hit the Target?
Here's the question: Two children are playing a game in which they try to hit a small box on the floor with a marble fired from a spring-loaded gun that is mounted on a table. The target box is horizontal distance D = 2.20 m from the edge of the table. Bobby compresses the spring 1.1 cm, but...- bballcool34
