High School Double-slit experiment observed by split brain
Thank you all for your valuable thoughts, insights and inductive theories. As it is empiricism (science) that I am interested in, I shall simply assume that nobody here (so far) knows whether the double-slit experiment has been conducted with a split brain patient as observer. All the best, Bojan- Bojan Keevill

Graduate Emergent time - emergent space?
Hello all, In 2009, I had clumsily posed a question to these forums, regarding the objectivity of time. In 2012, I had posted a short piece of writing, clumsily suggesting that three dimensional space is an emergent property of interactions between virtual point-particles. Last year, my...- Bojan Keevill

Graduate Doppler shift, c, observation, recession, spacetime expansion
Hi all, It is my understanding that a Doppler shift is the result of a change in wave frequency due to a change in distance of a signal source, relative to the observer. I assume that the change in distance must be continuous, in order to observe a Doppler effect: frequency increase =...- Bojan Keevill

Graduate Do time and space exist within the universe?
I was under the (possibly erroneous) impression that spacetime is a model Universe. Also that aspects of the model change relative to dynamic points of observation. The impression I have is that the manner in which one experiences time is changeable and dependent on the rate at which one...- Bojan Keevill

Graduate Do time and space exist within the universe?
Hi Ich, I suppose you are poking fun. Fair enough. I am not a physicist or mathematician, so am able to do only the simplest calculations. Please could you help me to understand how can I account for the majority of proton mass-energy?- Bojan Keevill

Graduate Do time and space exist within the universe?
Long time... I suppose your answer was directed at Pete81t, but your statement is interesting to me because it reverberates with my *intuition* about space and time, as being emergent and dependent, rather than fundamental and absolute universal physical properties; contrary to the Newtonian...- Bojan Keevill

Undergrad Measuring Time: An Experimental Methodology
"You can't do an experiment to test a clock against anything else apart from a better clock as a clock is a calibrated piece of equipment design to measure the passage of time." - it is exactly the 'passage of time' that I wish to measure objectively. I'm not interested in the subjective...- Bojan Keevill

Graduate Do time and space exist within the universe?
The existing standards are subjective are they not? When I measure a standard m length of space (for example in a vacuum) what am I actually measuring?- Bojan Keevill

The following definition of 'experimental control' is given by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Experimental_control "Scientific controls are a vital part of the scientific method, since they can eliminate or minimize unintended influences such as researcher bias, environmental changes and...- Bojan Keevill

Undergrad Measuring Time: An Experimental Methodology
Again, measurement precision does not concern me here. I am interested to find what is it that I am actually, objectively measuring. To make the dilemma clearer I have re-written the problem: I wish design an empirical experiment to show time. I should be able to use a stopwatch(a) to...- Bojan Keevill
