    Magnetic field rather than electric

I find it hard to believe that no one can help me. Maybe I should've posted this somewhere else...

Calculating Integrals and Exponentials: Solving Tricky Equations

Ok, but I learned to put i, j and k at the end when I did vectors... I did it again and got the same answer. Where does 2i come from? EDIT How stupid of me, I had pi/2 in my head instead of pi.

Calculating Integrals and Exponentials: Solving Tricky Equations

    You have confused me here. I thought the question asked: \int_0 ^ \pi ((\sin t)i + (\cos t)j + (t)k) dt My answer is i + j + \frac{{\pi ^2 }}{2}k

    Magnetic field rather than electric

Maybe, but that's what the question asks... This is just a guess but is it to do with the voltage being harder to reverse in an electric field than the current is in a magnetic field?

    Magnetic field rather than electric

Magnetic field rather than electric... Ok here's my question. Why are magnetic fields used to deflect an electron beam rather than electric fields in television screens? I'd appreciate a substantial prod in the right direction. Feel free to give the answer though. :-p
