Graduate Flux Trapping Effect: Magnetic Suspension & Levitation
Magnetic suspension and levitation is the caused by the flux trapping effect in superconductors. How does this flux get "trapped"? Another quick question- We link a magnet to a superconductor by bringing it very close to one ,until both of them start attracting and repelling. My question is...- cartik

Graduate What is The real cause of meissner effect in superconductors?
As i have learnt, the lenz's law is not the cause of the meissner effect. This can also be proved by some experiments.I was wondering what may be the real cause for the meissner effect? As i don't know the cause, i have no idea, in which part of physics i must post this query.- cartik

Graduate Doubts about heisenbergs uncertainty principle.
But a wave packet is made by superposition of many matter waves right? So , for example we consider a wave packet of an electron, which is made up of many matter waves. My question is, that these 'many' matter waves having different wavelengths or phase are of what particles? (Using to...- cartik

Graduate Doubts about heisenbergs uncertainty principle.
Doubts about wave particle duality I know that a wave packet is formed by superposition of several individual waves having different wavelength. And the resultant wave has varying amplitudes. And from these amplitudes we can find the likeliness of the object to be in that position. My doubt is...- cartik

Undergrad About fermi levels in extrensic semiconductors.
Why does the Fermi level level drop with increase in temperature for a n type semiconductor.? What's the basic idea behind Fermi level? How does it get affected by temprature?- cartik

About transformersplease explainthanks
Is v1i1 equals( kVA+ p(iron loss) + p(copper loss)) Expression correct? If yes how does the book say that v1i1 equals kVA equals V2i2?? :(- cartik

About transformersplease explainthanks
I am learning about transformers, and I am really confused! Please explain what's kVA,input power, output power, and the copper losses and iron losses.can the kVA be taken as input power that's v1i1, how is kVA related to the input and output.is kVA into power factor equal to output. And how is...- cartik
