What is the solution to a simple RLC circuit problem?
That is why I didn't add such constant, since it is zero, 0/s will be zero... so I think that is not the mistake...- degs2k4

What is the solution to a simple RLC circuit problem?
And such constant (I guess you speak about the initial charge of the capacitor) is zero right ?- degs2k4

What is the solution to a simple RLC circuit problem?
I see! Clear now, thanks! Still stuck on part (4), couldn't find any errors but I am going to check it again... Thanks Phrak- degs2k4

What is the solution to a simple RLC circuit problem?
Regarding part 3, what I want to ask is : Since there is a resistor connected in series before the capacitor, there is a voltage drop Vr1, so we can say that the applied voltage to the capacitor is Vr1. A capacitor charges until reaching the applied voltage, so I was wondering whether the final...- degs2k4

What is the solution to a simple RLC circuit problem?
2 things, 1) How do you get Vab = Vo ? I was wondering between Vo or Vr1... 2) Vab(t) from part 4 still does not match part 3 when t tends to infinity, and can't find any mistake there...- degs2k4

What is the solution to a simple RLC circuit problem?
Homework Statement I have some difficulties in parts 3 and 4 of the following problem: (1) A sufficient time has elapsed after closing the switch S, and a steady state is established in the circuit with a constant current I0 flowing. Find the expression for I0. (2) Then the switch S is...- degs2k4

Quick Question: what is the voltage at this point?
Thanks. I understood that since it is reversely biased, the current entering through the diode should be 0. My question is about the direction of the other 2 currents. Why are both of them entering the node ? I thought one was entering, and one was leaving...- degs2k4

Quick Question: what is the voltage at this point?
Thanks for your reply. Hmm... I don't think so, since the problem asks you for the states of the diodes when Vout is changed from -Vdd to +Vdd... (In the first diagram I wrote the case of Vout=-Vdd) V = \frac{R_{6} \, V_{\mathrm{out}} - R_{5} \, V_{\mathrm{dd}}}{R_{5} + R_{6}} By the...- degs2k4

Need Help calculating Entropy & probabilities of a simple Markov Process
Homework Statement I am in a hurry with the following problem: We have a source that produces binary symbols, 0 and 1. 0 follows a 0 at probability 7/8 1 follows a 1 at probability 1/2 A) Calculate probability of the symbols 0 and 1 to appear. B) Calculate entropy of source. The...- degs2k4

Quick Question: what is the voltage at this point?
The original circuit of the was the one below. I had to find the states of the 2 diodes when Vout goes from -Vdd to + Vdd. So I wanted to know what is the voltage between R4 and R3, to check the state of the diode DA ( such V must be negative since Diode is connected to the virtual...- degs2k4

Quick Question: what is the voltage at this point?
Sure. I don't know if I am applying it well or not, anyway KCL: IR4 = IR3 V = VDD (R3-R4)/(R3+R4) which will be negative in order to have the diode on. Can it be ok? I only know the diode forward voltage, Vd. And, VDD >> VD. From there, if 0 - V >= VD (in order to have the...- degs2k4
