Tolerance for pneumatic cylinder and piston
Thanks Q_Guest, is it i need a very close tolerance so the i can lessen the leakage? but what is the of it in friction? Is the friction depends on the gap? I wanted to produce an air spring, which if i applied a blow it will vibrate freely.- etherist

Tolerance for pneumatic cylinder and piston
What is the tolerance for pneumatic cylinder and piston operating about 2 psi, at room temperature, so that the piston can move freely without leakage? The piston diameter is 20 mm.- etherist

Elastic Solids & Liquids at Low & Room Temperature
The material necessary be nontoxic. It must be viscous at liquid states. I prefer an electrically conductive material and Non-Newtonian. The reason why i wanted a material that is liquid at room temperature but ductile at its solid state is because i wanted to produce a very small pipe filled...- etherist

Graduate Overunity from Heating and Cooling
yes i compute the average kinetic energy of the molecules and then i multiply it with the total number of molecules using avogadros number and molecular weight so i computed the total kinetic energy1 kg steam of approximately 260 J, which is very small.- etherist

Graduate Overunity from Heating and Cooling
The kinetic energy of gas molecules or atoms is: (3/2)kTN/M where k is Boltzmann constant, T is absolute temperature, N is avogadros number and M is molecular weight. The formula is derived from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinetic_theory. Assume that the gas is steam with M = 18 kg/mol at 373K...- etherist

Graduate Max Diam Tube Filled w/ Viscous Liquid: Deriving Formula
Oh jbriggs444 thanks, it must be surface tension. I had solve the equation, i thought it was different in capillary tube formula since the bottom is open but as you explain it appears that it is the same. I thought the lifting force in this set-up depends on area, since the liquid is sticking on... -

Graduate Max Diam Tube Filled w/ Viscous Liquid: Deriving Formula
Formula for the maximum diameter of vertical tube(open on top and bottom) filled with viscous liquid (such as oil) as a function of viscosity and length so that the liquid remains inside. How the formula is derived? Thanks a lot. -

Ferrofluid in High Voltage AC Source
Thanks bobbywhy, ferrofluid loudspeaker is a very helpful information for me. I desire to imitate how arthropods moves, using sound, thus it is necessary to design first a loudspeaker of very small size but sufficient power.- etherist

Ferrofluid in High Voltage AC Source
Thanks Bobbywhy. I am searching for ideal way of reciprocating pump much the same with the heart of arthropods works. I thought ferrofluid will help by static repulsion, but it will not cause reaction.- etherist

Ferrofluid in High Voltage AC Source
The ferrofluid is electrically connected to the top wire of a tesla coil. Is it will operate without return since i will use tesla coil? I want to test an experiment but i do not have tesla coil, and this set up of experiment is not available on youtube. Is there any vibration that will happen...- etherist
