0 ohm resistor selection for single-point grounding
Thank you Berkeman for the information. Yes I will turn to the datasheets for details. Is it enough that I find the max possible resistance, with the calculated P=I^2*R to select the appropriate size? I used to use inductances for the separation, but in a tiny system, 0 ohm resistors should be...- fidel

Ground in RF System: Separating Analog and Digital
Hi all. I'm working on an RF system including a 2.4G transceiver and a GPS receiver. I'll use a ground plane. What I intend to is to separate analog ground and digital ground and connect them together at the entry via a 0ohm resistor. My friend argues that a whole ground layer that connect to...- fidel

RF Chip Selection for SDR Transceiver Design
I guess it's the signal BW after modulation, but not sure. I'm requesting more information which is not presented on the web pages.- fidel

RF Chip Selection for SDR Transceiver Design
3x. I just found some from adi. The bandwidth they support is larger than what I desire. Will it cause trouble except that higher bandwidth will let more noise in?- fidel

RF Chip Selection for SDR Transceiver Design
Hi all. I'm designing an SDR transceiver. I need a RF chip/module that at least contains PA, LNA and Tx/Rx switch. It should perform conversion between analog or digital baseband/IF signal and 2.4GHz radio signal. Modulation/demodulation will not be done in this chip. The radio signal is...- fidel

Grounding in Lab: ESD Protection Qs
Hi all. We're moving to a new lab and I need to have a reliable ground for ESD protection, e.g. connecting the ESD mat safely. My questions are: can I just use the ground in the power outlet, or I need to request a different ground? Do I need to connect a resistor between the mat and the ground?- fidel

ATX Power Connector Footprint: 20, 24, 4 Pins | Guide
Thank you. I've got the definition :) Concerning the minimum output current required, I once connected PS_ON# to ground as the connector was floating, and the fan did run. But I didn't test the output voltage, so I don't know if the power was working properly then. And it seems the...- fidel

ATX Power Connector Footprint: 20, 24, 4 Pins | Guide
I want to use atx power from my pc as the source for my devices. How can i decide the footprint of the connectors, e.g. those with 20pins, 24pins, 4pins, ... Maybe i can goooogle them out using their formal names, but, what are they?- fidel
