Is Consciousness Solely a Product of the Brain?
Calrid, was the drug that was used to induce NDE elements ketamine? I don't feel that inducing NDE with drugs invalidates their being objectively real at all. If the brain and the mind are two separate things then it would be natural that some drugs would mimic what is going on in the brain near...- Forestman

Is Consciousness Solely a Product of the Brain?
There has been a lot of research done, it has just not been done through the university system. And mainly because they won't do it. Any person or group can do the scientific method. The university system doesn't hold any monopoly on scientific truth. The evidence is out there, and has been...- Forestman

Is IQ the Key Factor in Pursuing Pure Science?
I think that IQ is suggestive, but not absolute in determining a persons potential. Also one thing that I feel that people ignore is that IQ can be raised. At least 30% of intelligence is learned, and that is a lot to work with. I believe that true geniuses have both a high IQ and creativity...- Forestman

Undergrad Invariant Quantities in SR: Explained
This might have already been stated above, so if it has I apologize, however in special relativity the speed of light is invariant. It is invariant given that it does not change regardless of the observer or his or her motion.- Forestman

Do you think sociology professors are to the left, economics to the right on capitali
My best friend used to teach anthropology and sociology at a community college. He has his Ph.D in anthropology. Anyway when it comes to social values he is very liberal, but when it comes to economics he is a moderate.- Forestman

Why Most People do not like Mathmetics ?
I thought that I would add my story since I used to have problems with much of mathematics. I don't claim to be any kind of expert now, for I still have much, much more to learn. But in my case I did not like math as a child because I had a hard time with it. When I would close my eyes and try...- Forestman

Medical My mental illness symptoms as a child
This is changing the direction of the thread a little bit, but I felt it was something that I needed to say. Even though my dad was crappy to me as a child. I still love him. He has changed a lot since I was a child and has mellowed out a lot too. Personally I think that he has bipolar as well...- Forestman
