Problem from AP French Special Relativity
I tried again but i didn't find the correct result...The fact that "the time of transit of the radiation is negligibly small compared to the period of oscillation" doesn't mean that the second mass has already absorbed the radiation by the time i apply energy conservation for the final moment...- george2

Problem from AP French Special Relativity
Thanks for your reply! I already used the fact that the relative velocity of the two masses will be zero at the time of maximum extension although i forgot to write that in my previous post. However i didn't get the right result.I will try it again later and if i don't find where my error...- george2

Problem from AP French Special Relativity
1.Hi!I need some help with the following problem: A body of mass m1+dm is connected to a body of mass m2-dm by a spring of constant k and negligible mass. The system is at rest on a frictionless table.A burst of radiation is emitted by the first body and absorbed by the second changing the...- george2

Halliday Chapter 25: Final Charge of Uncharged Capacitors Problem
Now i find that: q1=32μC, q2=16μC, q3=16 μC.The sum of the 3 charges is 64 μC but there are only 48μC to share. Why does this happen? P.S. Thank you for your help!- george2

Halliday Chapter 25: Final Charge of Uncharged Capacitors Problem
Hi! I need help with the following problem: 1. Figure displays a 12 V battery and three uncharged capacitors of capacitances C1=4μF , C2=6μF and C3=3μF. The switch is thrown to the left until C1 is fully charged then it is thrown to the right. What is the final charge of each capacitor? 3...- george2
