Solve for I1, I2, I3 in Circuit w/ Loop Rule

    Never mind, I got it with matrices. I1 - I2 + I3 = 0 140*I1 + 210*I2 + 0*I3 = 147 0*I1 + 210*I2 + 35*I3 = 112 matrix: [ 1 -1 1 0 ] [ 140 210 0 147 ] [ 0 210 35 112 ] row reduced echelon form [ 1 0 0 .3 ] [ 0 1 0 .5 ] [ 0 0 1 .2 ] answer: I1 = 0.300 Amps I2 = 0.500 Amps I3 =...

Solve for I1, I2, I3 in Circuit w/ Loop Rule

    I know this is algebra but how do I set up a system of equations with only the two equations: 147V - 140*I1 - 210*I2 = 0 112V - 210*I2 - 35*I3 = 0

Solve for I1, I2, I3 in Circuit w/ Loop Rule

    Homework Statement In the problem there's a circuit pictured with 3 resistors and three ideal batteries (emf = V). I need to calculate the current through all the resistors (I1,I2,I3). Homework Equations I1 - I2 + I3 = 0 V=RIThe Attempt at a Solution left loop is 92V - 140*I1 - 210*I2 + 55 = 0...

How Do I Calculate the Acceleration of a System with 3 Masses and 2 Pulleys?

since you only were given the coef of kinetic friction i would assume the that the system was already in motion. If your accel was negative then that means the system for that instant was slowing down. It would be better if the question gave a little more information.

Two infinite charged lines -- find the locations where E=0

Homework Statement A very long (infinite), straight line of charge runs parallel to another very long (infinite) straight line of charge. Both lines are uniformly charged, one with +1*(lambda) and the other with -2*(lambda). The distance between them is d. Find (if any) the location(s) where...

Why is aluminum foil attracted to a charged balloon just like paper?

Aluminum foil is a conductor so the negative charge (electrons) are free to move about the entire medium if no other conductor is touching it. The electrons would move only within the foil away from the negatively charged wool, leaving one side of the aluminum foil with a lack of negative...
