I have...- Julian Solos

My Sheep applets. Would you test them?
Try version 0.03 In version 0.03, there are two big bugs. (One is caused by a flaw in my program. The other one is caused by Sun Microsystems' Java API set itself.) They are both very visual and obvious once you find them. Can you find out what they are?- Julian Solos

My Sheep applets. Would you test them?
My "Sheep" applets. Would you test them? I've been writing little applet programs in Java. I'd appreciate it if you could test them. They are called Sheep (So, you can't sleep, huh?) version 0.00, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04a, 0.05, and 0.06. They are all at...- Julian Solos

Undergrad Cannon Ball Paradox: Math Explained
Then, the usual premise "neglecting friction" in this sort of a-tunnel-through-the-earth problems is unrealistic, isn't it? Considering an object dropped into the tunnel will reach its terminal velocity, the object reaching a speed of 18,000 MPH at the center of the Earth and the motion...- Julian Solos

Understanding the Concept of Sea Level in Relation to Mountain Height
I've browsed through that. Thank you. I've read this one too: http://www.pol.ac.uk/psmsl/puscience/ And I'm still CLUELESS about "sea level." Is it a conceptual quantity or is it an actual physical measurable quantity?- Julian Solos

Range of Tennis Ball Thrown from Ground: 15 m/s
You must have written the problem incorrectly. As it was written, it didn't have enough information. "Vx = 15 m/s (horizontal)" was misleading. Vx is always horizontal, if we assume the x-axis is horizontal, and it's always 15 m/s if we are allowed to ignore air resistance.- Julian Solos

Undergrad If a rock is dropped off a sea cliff
Excuse me, but g is not a constant. It is commonly called the acceleration due to gravity, which is related to the Gravitational constant, G. The value of g depends on where it is measured, including the altitude. Even though g is commonly called the acceleration due to gravity, the measured...- Julian Solos
