Inrush current limiting for inductive load
Jim and all, thank you for your responses. I was able to measure the peak current this morning and saw 14X FLA. I was a bit surprised in this but it is in tune with what everyone has mentioned. One thought I had was that potentially the circuit breaker was tripping magnetically and not...- littlej040

Inrush current limiting for inductive load
The footprint I have available is very limited for mounting this transformer. I would like to move away from using a resistance in series with the primary due to the heat dissipation. I am currently using the Thermistor in the same manner, and was hoping to find an alternative method. Should i...- littlej040

Inrush current limiting for inductive load
Gents, thanks for the replies. The breaker that i am using is an ABB S201-K10, and FLA of the transformer is 8A. To my understanding I have specified the breaker appropriately for this. ABBs K-curve is designed to hold 10-15 times rated current for 1 second, which would be well within the inrush...- littlej040

Inrush current limiting for inductive load
I am using an isolation transformer in a VFD circuit to prevent a GFCI from tripping (due to harmonic noise getting back on the line.) This solved my GFCI problem, but brought about another issue due to the inrush current the transformer created on this circuit. Due to UL requirements, i...- littlej040

Physical relays required from SOP with 2 outputs
The application is for a biological safety cabinet in which I am trying to control power to an external airflow monitor and blower enabling switch. I am limited to using strictly relay logic vs. other methods due to the fact that I will have to be doing this as an "in field" replacement kit for...- littlej040

Physical relays required from SOP with 2 outputs
I made a mistake, I would be using a SPDT relay for "input B", in this case an indication of when a blower is turning on. I am getting a bit befuddled on my wiring from the relay contacts from input A -> input B however.- littlej040

Physical relays required from SOP with 2 outputs
Hi all, I'm looking to control two outputs using (3) 12 V coil relays, with the SOP of the truth table listed as below: A' B C' + A' B C simplified to: = A' B ( C + C') = A' B ----> Y0 A B C' + A' B C' simplified to: = B C' (A + A') =B C' ------> Y1 The problem I am having is...- littlej040
