read general physics books for layman also to expand your knowledge ...there is a lot of less mathematical physics to be learned ...also read http://www.phys.uu.nl/~thooft/theorist.html
set some goals for your self ..do some of your own learning ...find something that interests you ... I guess you know this already but its not all about passing your exams.
yeah i have heard something like this before ...its a math trick i think something to do with when u bisect a rectangle you always end up halfing it ... or something like that ,,,well something that makes sense ...look into mathematics of rectangles you would find something there . ...I THINK
you don't need to do further maths to do physics at degreea level , you will learn that stuff anyway , however it would probably help alot.Alhough they might mostly focus on your maths and physics grade , mostly..i didnt do furthermath so I am not sure abpout the f's and c's but getting above 90...

I agree that it is hard to measure , but i guess if somebody's creativity has improved significantly it would be noticed.
