Complete the parametric equation for the line where the planes cross
First, I use the unit vector of each plane, and I compute their cross-product to obtain a vector parallel to the line of interception. Then, I algebraically use x=0 to obtain the coordinates of the point in the line of interception. However, not having a y coordinate in plane one is confusing me.- MP97

Correct it describes an object rolling down an inclined plane without slipping. Thank you! -
Undergrad Mapertius's Principle and 2nd Newton's law
Hi, I have been working on deriving the second Newton's law from the Mapertius principle applied to a perfectly elastic collision from a free fall acceleration problem. These are my calculations, but I keep getting a coefficient of 2 in my final answer for some reason. Could someone explain to... -
High School Rotational Kinematics -- questions about a=mg sin(theta) / (m+I/R^2)
Hi, I am learning. Rotational Kinematics and I was given this formula in class: a=mgsin(theta)/(m+I/R^2); however, I couldn't understand the professor's explanation of where it comes from. Could someone provide some insights about it? I appreciate any help you can provide.
