if you are not looking for too many functionality, yes a simple potentiostat able to do Cyclic voltammetry is NOT a rocket science...But as i said you need some idea ofcourse...if not better look for permission in a nearby laboratory
hi,a basic question, i added 20 ml of 1M Kno3 with 20 ml of 2 mM of Fe3CN6. will the concentration of the two chemicals remain same in mixture?? if not how to calculate ... All i need to prepare a 20 ml of a mixture of 1M Kno3 and 2mM Fe3CN6...
Thanks
I doubt you can do it using Osciloscope. however you can make a small setup at low cost using opamp though. All you need to supply some voltage and receive the current while maintaining a potential into the solution using feedback. You need some idea though.
thanks for the advice...
today i took new solution, immerged gold and ref. electrode, left them for hour for equilibrium and then took a 5 min reading. again left for another 20 min or so and took reading...in this way i received better reading...the drift is now 2-3 mv in those 5 mins reading...
still the drifting exists...can it be the reason that
The concentration of the PBS (does not contain NaCl) solution is 1M whereas the solution inside the salt bridge is 3 M NaCl.
If not, i guess may be the ref electrode is damaged some how...
I took some phosphate buffer saline(7.4) into a beaker, included a Au electrode and reference electrode (Ag/AgCl) and tried to measure the potential using multimeter. The temperature and pressure is assumable same. The multimeter shows the potential some milivolts but the potential is decreasing...
How can i make electrical measurment of Oxide. I know i have make an ohmic contact to use that as an electrode. But how do i decide the metal for this contact. I want to use Ga2O3
Thanks in advance
Is it necessary that the conductive plates and the dielectric should be of same metal type in a electrolytic capacitor? For example if anode and cathode plates are silicon, the dielectric also needs to be SiO2. or what if the anode and cathode plate are of different metal type??
