Decrement with J-K FF and gate/gates
You guys are right. It is probably poorly worded because I had to translate everything from swedish to english. And yes I can get back with my professors notes.- ogward

Decrement with J-K FF and gate/gates
I formulated it wrong, it should count when the CP goes from 0 to 1 as stated in the state diagram.- ogward

Decrement with J-K FF and gate/gates
I thought it wouldn't work that way so I didn't want to experiment with something that works. But I've tried it and it works, no problems.- ogward

Decrement with J-K FF and gate/gates
Hehe you are are probably right i just didn't like the Idea of heaving the MSB on the right side and the LSB on the left, made me a bit confused :P Thanks for your pointers!- ogward

Decrement with J-K FF and gate/gates
Homework Statement Construct a synchronous down counter with J-K FFs and gate/gates. It should only count when the CP is high, look at the state diagram. http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/8130/unled21e.jpg Homework Equations N/AThe Attempt at a Solution...- ogward

State diagram of 4 connected d flip flops
oh ok so the only time you "move" is when the clock transitions from 0 to 1? if its only 111... or 000... you stand still until it transitions? how does this look http://img802.imageshack.us/img802/7917/20111010001.th.jpg- ogward

State diagram of 4 connected d flip flops
It makes sense if the following is true. when in state [110] the input to the FFs is (111). What about if CP is 0? should I do something? For some reason I want to stand in the currant state if CP is 0.- ogward

State diagram of 4 connected d flip flops
D1=1, D2=0 and D3=0 ( but it should be inversed which makes it 1) therefor [101].- ogward

State diagram of 4 connected d flip flops
I think I'm starting to get this, or at least I hope so... If in state [000] and receive a 0 I stay in [000], If I get 1 i go to state [100]. If I'm in state [100] and get 0 I stay in [100], if I get 1 I go to state [011]. When in [011] and receive 0 I stay and if I get 1 I go back to state...- ogward

State diagram of 4 connected d flip flops
If the first state is [000] then something tells me that the inputs should be [D1, D2, D3]= [100]- ogward

State diagram of 4 connected d flip flops
I find it a bit hard to explain but the 1 pushes the [000] to the right so the zero to the right "falls out". sounds weird when I read what I just wrote...- ogward
