Does P(A) U P(B) Subset of P(A U B)?
For part b) An example is A= {1,2,3}, B= {2,3,4} A u B ={ 1,2,3,4} Let x= {1,4} X is a subset of A U B but not a subset of A or B- pinkyjoshi65

Does P(A) U P(B) Subset of P(A U B)?
this is just a part of a question. I did try doing it. Here is the actualy question: for sets A and B, P(A intersection B) = P(A) intersection P(B). However, the same property does not hold for unions. To fully investigate the corresponding property for unions, do the following exercise: Let A...- pinkyjoshi65

Does P(A) U P(B) Subset of P(A U B)?
Homework Statement Is this statement true? For all sets A,B contained in a universe U, P(A) U P(B) is a subset of P(A U B) if and only if A is a subset of B or B is a subset of A- pinkyjoshi65

Proving Set Theory Equations with Nullspace Intersection
how about i do this: let x belong to P(A)-P(B) so x is a subset of A and is not a subset of B so x is a subset of (A-B) so x belongs to P(A-B) hence P(A)-P(B) is a subset of P(A-B)- pinkyjoshi65

Proving Set Theory Equations with Nullspace Intersection
Homework Statement 1)Prove for all sets A and B contained in a universe U, if A intersection B' = nullspace then P(A) − P(B) is a subset of P(A − B). 2)Prove for all sets A and B contained in a universe U, if A intersection B = nullspace then P(A) − P(B) is a subset of P(A − B)...- pinkyjoshi65

High School Solving Inequalities: 4x² + 2x ≤ 3x + 2
so when i solve the 1st part i get x is less than 0.5. And when i solve the 2nd part, i got X is greater than/ equal to -1 so the solution set for the 2nd part is (-infi, -1}. I'm not sure about the solution set of the 1st part..- pinkyjoshi65

High School Solving Inequalities: 4x² + 2x ≤ 3x + 2
Hey..This is a question I am having difficulty in solving. 4x\angle2x+1\leq3x+2 First I removed the "1"from the centre. Then I tried eliminating the X's from both sides, but that did not work. Could someone help me with this?- pinkyjoshi65
