I am considering something similar too. I am 27 with a bachelors in economics. And have been doing office related mostly. I was pursing an accounting program but then I left that and went on to try for the police. I aced the IQ and writing test and but couldn't get the physical. That anyways was...
cool advice faster, thanks!
i was also wondering if i want to work as a statistician in a research lab would i need to double major in that corresponding scientific discipline too? or is that something that the physicist, biologist can carry out on their own?
What sort of a blend would this be? Let's say I am interested in being part of a research in some physics discipline but not necessarily as a physicist but as a statistician/data analyst. Like The guys/girls who compile, analyze etc the data from experiments on particle interaction, for example...
how about the example of a balloon. the "stretchiness" of it , or how much it can expand before it bursts, could be expressed as the maximum capacity of air it can hold. but then you go back to the concept of its toughness, along the lines of endurance or something.
hmm..very true. I don't suppose that a time will come when unis close down tenure-track positions. After all, research is an integral part of any reputable university. And without full time professors who have been there 10 years or plus that would be very hard to do.
... to becoming a professor. I was looking around and saw how difficult many people say it is to become a uni professor so I am going to skip that question "How Hard is it?!?" but let me just make sure if i have this right

Hey Lisab, thanks for your reply. I will be finishing up my current course and will take the intro physics course next. I am really looking forward to that very much. I might just hit the local library tommorow to look for some books that can get me warmed up
Hello everyone. I recently pick up Hawking book A Brief History of Time. I just started reading it and as someone with very little science background, it is a very difficult read. However, he talks about theories and concepts so well and articulately that after reading a paragraph more than once...
