For anyone interested I tried both windows and it is very very hard to tell the difference in the outputs. At least with the audio signals I tried they both performed equally well under subjective testing. Thx- raminee

Thank you DrClaude for this formula. Given the example I posted I assume n=5, S2 is S(i+1) and S1 is S(i) where (i) is the sample position from 0 to 4.
