Question About Electric Aircraft Propulsion
Well I'm in over my head, but in my thoughts if you can extract power for the compressor, then why not a bit larger and stronger power turbine that will cover the generators output converted to pure heat. In normal use motors and generators are governed by mechanical limits, but in this...- RonL

Question About Electric Aircraft Propulsion
Had a hard time deciding which post to reply to, you mention energy density of fuel and batteries, consider the efficiency of generated electricity straight to heat, almost 100% where you need it. I can't attempt to lay out a complete design, but considering the sum total of air comes in the...- RonL

Is a 10.0 earthquake actually possible?
After reading through this article, I'm left wondering if there might be tremendous sized voids inside Earth's mantle, that if displaced in some way could allow major shifts in rock formations. Does anyone have ideas about this...- RonL

Could you create a battery powered plane?
Here is some good information for anyone interested in fuel/electric design, as for my thinking electric/electric assisted by wind friction of a plane in flight, is the possible holy grail. I believe the videos below are well worth someone's time to watch, should be a help in setting up...- RonL

Could you create a battery powered plane?
This puts life into an old idea of an electric jet engine :) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aircraft_Nuclear_PropulsionIndirect Air Cycle Indirect cycling involves thermal exchange outside of the core with compressor air being sent to a heat exchanger. The nuclear reactor core would heat up...- RonL

Compressed Air Engine Calculations
A few charts here might help, I'm not sure that the motor type would make a lot of difference when evaluating flow and expansion. https://www.atlascopco.com/content/dam/atlas-copco/industrial-technique/general/documents/pocketguides/9067%2001%20Pocket%20Guide%20to%20Air%20motors.pdf- RonL

High School Can we transfer 100% Potential energy to electricity?
It might help to consider the first test of heat transfer from a paddle wheel to water, on turbine blades being driven by vast amounts of water the change being almost undetectable should be quite large. Just a thought.- RonL

Help Kathy Write a Book on Electricity & Tesla: What's Missing?
If one looks at the number of patents filed by N Tesla, it might be possible Einstein had to work on a good number of them, hard for anyone not to be impressed in my opinion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikola_Tesla- RonL

How can I get my Pi 3 to work in a vacuum?
Not sure what you are interested in, but here's a link that with it's 207 pages, might answer or give a clue about how the Pi-3 is different from what is used in space (or vacuum conditions) http://snebulos.mit.edu/projects/reference/International-Space-Station/SSP30312RH.pdf- RonL
