Experiment involving surface tension for water and alcohol
I really have no idea how to approach this question, I was thinking write ##F=mg## but I am not sure if I can write that even though- sagigever

Calculate the density of an object by the amount of displaced mass in water
I have the solution for this problem but I did not understand the following statement: The mass of water the crown displaced is ##m = 740- 690= 50 g##. Therefore the volume of the crown is ## 50 cm^3## how can I conclude the volume of the crown from that displacement?- sagigever

Graduate Finding Percent of Water & Oil in a Mixture from Surface Tension
We didn't learned those equation u mentioned so I guess there is another and simplier way for the problem I mentioned -
Graduate Finding Percent of Water & Oil in a Mixture from Surface Tension
I think I wasn't clear enough with my question, I will give a numeric example: Lets assume I am doing an experiment of measuring surface tension, I have some alcohol liquid and I measure ##\gamma_m = 37 \frac{dyne}{cm}## but I know that the surface tension of pure alchohol is ##\gamma_a = 22... -
Graduate Finding Percent of Water & Oil in a Mixture from Surface Tension
I was looking for on the internet for a while without a success. If I know that the surface tension of pure oil is ##\gamma_o=A## and I know that the surface tension of pure water is ##\gamma_w=B## so if I have a mixture of water and oil with surface tension ##\gamma_m=C## am I able to know... -
Graduate Properties of symmetric magnetic field around ##Z## axis (cylinder)
can you give me example when it not zero in ##\hat \phi##? ohh so you mean that it can have component in the ##\phi## direction, but the derivative with respect to ##\phi## will always be zero?- sagigever

Graduate Properties of symmetric magnetic field around ##Z## axis (cylinder)
I am trying to understand but without a succes why symmetric magnetic field around ##Z## axis make that ##\hat \phi## magnetic field is zero I can't understand why it physically happens and also how can I derive it mathematically? What does the word symmetric means when talking about magnetic...- sagigever

Magnetic field in a rotating uniformly-charged infinite cylinder
Yes that's the answer but than I realized you said the same just different aproach, although I still not feel comfortable with the method you suggested but I guess I will have to work about it myself, btw can you help me understand physicaly why in such case of symmetry the magnetic field...- sagigever

Magnetic field in a rotating uniformly-charged infinite cylinder
I know for sure that the magnetic field on the symmetry axis of hollow cylinder with surface charge density is ##u_0 k \hat z## is that true if I will say the same for this cylinder and just change the ##k## to ##J## and than I can express ##J## as ##\omega r \rho##- sagigever

Magnetic field in a rotating uniformly-charged infinite cylinder
I am asking that because the second question is asking about relativity of magnetic field, it says that a person who moves speed ##V## perpendicular to the axis of cylinder, in his perspective he messures at point d(inside the cylinder) magntic field zero. I am asked to find ##d##. so I need to...- sagigever
