Undergrad Question about Coloumb's law notation and math in two different textbooks
Thankyou very much. That was amazingly helpful and gets me on the right track now as I continue through the reading. Much gratitude and I shall not hesitate to come back again after I've struggled through it.- Selectron09

Undergrad Question about Coloumb's law notation and math in two different textbooks
I am currently taking Electricity and Magnetism I for Graduate school and we are of course using Jackson Classical Electrodynamics 3e. I am used to Griffiths from undergrad and intro physics in that they describe it: But Jackson modifies the notation to include a cube of the magnitude in the...- Selectron09

Solid State Researching Gold Thin Films: Electrical & Optical Properties
Hi Hutch, I did do thin film research last summer with an REU, and asked my mentor there and was able to secure some resources. I also have a mentor on campus but he hasn't been very helpful in narrowing my search, which is probably why I'm trying to reach out wherever I can to stake out some...- Selectron09

Solid State Researching Gold Thin Films: Electrical & Optical Properties
Hi Physics folks,I am currently collecting resources for my senior seminar project at my university and would like to ask if anyone has any good references for gold thin films. I am planning on focusing primarily on the electrical and optical properties of gold thin films. I appreciate any...- Selectron09

Mathematica Fourier Transform Help with Mathematica
I am attempting to be able to do this problem with the help of Mathematica and Fourier transform. My professor gave us instructions for Fourier Transformation and Inverse Fourier, but I don't believe that my output in Mathematica is correct.- Selectron09

Quadratic equation help (Time when one vehicle passes another)
I believe the question is referring to the car reaching the motorcycle while it is still accelerating because the question asks " How long does the car take to reach the motorcycle?" So the car I believe must still be accelerating- Selectron09

Wouldn't you want to put it in the form = 0 before you put a,b,c into quadratic?- Selectron09
