I am having a real problem understanding what I'm supposed to do for this question:
The position of an electron (mass given) is located by a detector with an uncertainty of 1x10^-10m, calculate the minimum uncertainty in the momentum of the electron.
Now, I have no idea how to calculate...
Three charges are fixed to an xy coordinate system. A charge of +18 microC is on the y-axis at y = +3.0m. A charge of -12 microC is at the origin. Lastly a charge of +45 mircoC is on the x-axis at x = +3.0m. Determine the magnitude and direction of the net electrostatic force on the charge at x...
Okay, I'm having some trouble getting radius I need for the velocity that I need to solve this problem:
The manned Apollo 8 capsule was put into circular orbit 112km above the surface of the moon. The period of the orbiting space capsule was 120.5 minutes. If the radius of the moon is...
oh god I just realized what I did, right, when the velocity was 0 the t was 50seconds but that only meant that it took 50 seconds to reach its peak, it would take another 50 seconds for it to come back down so it is 850(100)=x=85000m.
thanks :)
Here is the question: A large cannon is fired over level ground at an angle of 30 degrees above the horizontal. The muzzle velocity is 980m/s. What horizontal distance (in meters) will the projectile travel before striking the ground?
I know the answer, it is 85,000 meters, however I am...
ok, I am having trouble understanding exactly what this problem wants from me, its asking:
At what temperature would the translational rms speed of hydrogen molecules be equal to that of oxygen molecules at 300K?
and the answer it gives me is 19K... but I really have no idea where to even...
I can't seem to find if there is an equation for the sqrt of i or not, i know that the formula for i is (n(n+1))/2 and for i^2 its (n(n+1)(2n+1))/6, but I can't find an formula for the sqrt of i
thanks
im not really sure how to do this one because I have forgotten most of the things about trig functions from last year, but here is the problem:
(im going to say Ħ=pi because I can't find the character for pi)
f(x)= tan((Ħx)/4) when |x|<1
x when |x| =>(greater than or equal to) 1
Im...
here is the problem:
A pitcher throws a baseball from the mound to homeplate, a distance of 18.5m, in .411s. What was the average speed of that ball in miles/h? If the catcher allowed his mitt to recoil backward 7.5cm while stopping the ball, what was the acceleration of the ball while it was...
