Is there any way to predict an approximation for the magnetic permeability of an alloy? I imagine that getting accurate results would be near impossible without creating the alloy and then testing it, so I'm looking more for just an order of magnitude (10x) or even a tolerance of maybe ± 50% or...

Thank you. I'll definitely look into MatLab and some other programs on that list. The price for MatLab is pretty hefty even with a student license. If I find that it's worth it, I'll try to get a student license for it.
